New Release: Riftbound Vendetta — Zed vs Shen Showdown Deck

New Release: Riftbound Vendetta — Zed vs Shen Showdown Deck

Riftbound just introduced a brand-new product type, and it dropped alongside Vendetta today: the Showdown Deck. The first one in the series pits two of Ionia's deadliest rivals against each other — the Riftbound TCG: Vendetta – Zed vs Shen Showdown Deck is in stock now at Hobby Collectors Australia for $54.95 AUD (down from $75.00).

What Is a Showdown Deck?

Showdown Decks are a new format built specifically for head-to-head play straight out of the box — no deckbuilding, no boosters to crack first, just two full decks ready to go the moment you open it. It's the fastest way to get a match going with a friend, and it also doubles as a genuinely good intro product for anyone who's never played Riftbound before.

Shen and Zed make a fitting first pairing: raised together in the Kinkou Order, torn apart by betrayal, and now built around completely different playstyles. Zed leans into a token and graveyard-focused strategy, while Shen plays a Tank-oriented, battlefield-control game. Whichever side you pick up, you're getting a deck with real identity, not a generic "starter" that plays the same as every other one.

What's in the Box

  • 2 full 56-card preconstructed decks — one built around Zed, one around Shen
  • Each deck is a complete 40-card main deck plus 12 runes and 3 battlefields, ready to play with no assembly
  • 2 Riftbound: Vendetta booster packs, for customising either deck once you're ready to tweak it
  • 2 full-size paper playmats, so both players are set up to play immediately
  • Game tokens included for both decks
  • 1 rulebook covering core rules and the basics of deckbuilding

It's genuinely everything two people need for a full game night in one box — you and a friend can be playing your first match within minutes of opening it.

Why Grab This One

A few reasons this is worth picking up whether you're brand new to Riftbound or already deep into Vendetta:

  • Zero setup required — both decks are tournament-legal and ready to play as-is.
  • Two playstyles in one box — great if you and a mate want to try Riftbound together without buying two separate products.
  • Built-in upgrade path — the included boosters mean you can start customising the moment you want to move past the preconstructed list.
  • Pairs naturally with Vendetta — if you were at our Pre-Rift event or are picking up Vendetta boosters this week, this is the easiest way to get a second player at the table.

At $54.95 AUD (down from $75.00), it's also one of the better value entry points into Vendetta right now.
