Riftbound: Radiance (Set 5) Guide: Legends, Products & Pre-Rift

Riftbound: Radiance (Set 5, set code RAD) releases worldwide on 23 October 2026 with 180 cards, nine new Legends and three new keywords: Deploy, Show Off and Disarm. Pre-Rift sealed prereleases start this Friday, 16 October, and we are running four sessions at our Fairfield store between 16 and 20 October.

We run Riftbound every week in Fairfield, so this guide covers what matters for players: what is in the set, which products to look at, and where to play before it reaches shelves. Details are checked against Riot's announcements and our own listings as of 16 October 2026.

What is Riftbound: Radiance?

Radiance is the fifth main set for Riftbound, Riot Games' League of Legends trading card game, and the last main release of 2026. It follows Vendetta and is built around music and performance, with stage-light artwork, musical alternate-art Runes, and Special Alt Art cards for K/DA and Heartsteel. It is also the first Riftbound set to launch in English, Chinese and French on the same day.

Who are the nine new Legends in Radiance?

Riot has confirmed nine new Legends, and every one has an Overnumbered variant, including artist-signed versions. These seven are publicly named so far:

  • Ekko, Boy Who Shattered Time: lets you put expensive Units into play earlier than usual.
  • Seraphine, Starry-Eyed Songstress: one half of the Radiance Showdown Deck.
  • Evelynn: the other half of the Showdown Deck. Her Legend card and both decklists are due on 16 October.
  • Orianna, Lady of Clockwork: her Legend effect lets Equipment become Units.
  • K'Sante, Pride of Nazumah: one of the later reveals from Riot's Radiance announcement.
  • Ziggs: featured on the Booster Display box art and tied to the new Bomb tokens.
  • Jarvan IV: also on the Booster Display box art.

Neeko is not a Legend, but she is worth knowing: she is Riftbound's first neutral-domain Champion Unit, so she fits in any deck regardless of domain. We will update this list as Riot confirms the last two Legends.

What is new in Radiance?

Radiance adds three keywords, a new token type and a new twist on Equipment.

Mechanic What it does
Deploy A Gear card with Deploy goes straight to a Battlefield and helps you while it stays there. If your opponent holds that Battlefield, the Gear is destroyed.
Show Off Reveal a qualifying card from your hand or board to unlock an extra effect on the card you are playing.
Disarm Lowers an enemy Unit's Might as you attack. Instances stack, so more Disarm means a bigger reduction.
Equipment Units Orianna's Legend effect lets Equipment become Units, and the Equipment is unequipped first.
Bomb tokens A new token type. The more Bombs you play, the bigger the payoff.

What are the chase cards in Radiance?

  • Packed Amphitheater (Ultimate Rare): a Battlefield. Riot puts the Ultimate Rare at roughly 0.025% of booster packs across the print run, against 0.1% for Baron Nashor in Unleashed. No pack, box or case is guaranteed to hold one.
  • Overnumbered Legends: all nine Legends, plus artist-signed versions, and Heartsteel Overnumbered cards.
  • Special Alt Art: uses the Crystal Rose treatment seen in Vendetta, including K/DA cards.
  • Alt Art Runes: musical artwork on the Runes, pulled from the pack's Token, Rune or Alt Art Rune slot.

Each 14-card booster pack holds 7 Commons, 3 Uncommons, a foil slot, a Rare or Epic, a flex slot that can hit anything from Rare up to Overnumber or Ultimate Rare, and a Token, Rune or Alt Art Rune.

Which Radiance product should you start with?

If you are new to Riftbound, start with a Pre-Rift session, or the Seraphine vs Evelynn Showdown Deck once it is in stock. Both give you playable decks without any deckbuilding, and our beginner's guide to Riftbound covers the rules. The Zed vs Shen Showdown Deck post explains how the format works.

If you are chasing Overnumbered Legends and Alt Art Runes, the Booster Display is the route. If you need a full set of Runes and some packs in one box, the Vault is the pick. You can still browse the Vendetta collection and the full Riftbound range while you wait.
